Bram DataPlug is a product of Bram Technologies, Okpanam, Delta State, Nigeria. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored scrambled; we cannot read it).
- Transaction details: what you buy, the phone, meter or smartcard numbers you buy for, amounts, times, and your wallet history.
- Payment details: the reference and amount of each payment from Paystack. We never receive or store your card number.
- Technical details: basic information your browser sends when you use the service, used to keep it secure and working.
Why we use it
- To run your account and wallet and deliver what you buy.
- To keep your money safe: your PIN, spending limits, and spotting fraud.
- To keep accurate financial records, as the law requires.
- To answer you when you contact us, and to tell you about important changes to the service.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us provide the service, and only what each one needs:
- Paystack, to process your payments.
- VTpass and ClubKonnect, which deliver purchases to the networks and billers. They receive the number you are buying for and the amount.
- Supabase and Cloudflare, which host our database and website.
Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria. We use providers that protect data to a standard at least as high as Nigerian law requires. We may also share information when the law requires it, for example with law enforcement investigating fraud.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details while your account is open. We keep transaction and payment records for as long as Nigerian financial and tax rules require, even after you close your account.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except records we must keep by law). You can also object to how we use it. Contact us through the contact page. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
